So another dream of mine has been fulfilled. Three years ago I said to myself, "self, if you ever get a house on the water you must go for an early morning swim..." So at 6am thanks to Riley I was up and at them and went for a glorious swim in Fletchers Lake. Water was warm and no bugs to be seen. There was a chill in the air and you could see your breath but the water was warmer than the air. Too cool. But enough about me, Holden and Riley were quite cute this morning and I couldn't resist taking a picture of Holden with his pulled up socks (reminds me sooo much of Dad :) and Riley of course wanted her monthly official photo shoot. Enjoying the moment - enjoy the day everyone. Love steph
Holden hurt his knee this morning so I gave him some fries to cool it down & when I turned around he had these on his head. Photos only a mother could love?
I know I'm extremely lucky to be on mat leave and getting to hang out with Holden and Riley. I am truly enjoying almost every minute of it...honest moment...aside from my odd day frustrations when I need to get out of the house due to cabin fever & needing more patience than my personality holds at anyone time. All good. Took Riley to the park last Friday as weather was perfect. Pretty sure Riley will love camping as much as I do...ha ha.
A special THANKS to Emma Rose Photography for her wonderful photographs of our family taken at Queen Street Studios in Dartmouth. The photo shoot went exactly as I expected - let's just say I have a greater level of empathy for people now who book family photo shoots. I learned a lot from the experience and truly had a great time with our new little family. Thanks to Chris for helping me and his never ending patience as a father and husband :). If anyone ever wants any photographs - please just let me know which ones you'd like and I'd love to get them for you. This first shot above I'd like to say is "REAL LIFE." Love it.
